Our story

Partners in life
and in this work

We started SVAccessibility in 2025 because our two careers fit together. Vicki spent 15 years building library programs that welcomed everyone. Steve spent two decades pushing the game industry to make room for disabled players. We live accessibility every day, and we bring that to every project.

Vicki builds the partnerships, programs, and staff confidence that turn inclusion into everyday practice. She spent 15 years in public libraries, including as Inclusion Coordinator at the Deerfield Public Library (IL). In her time there, she developed the PLACE (Public Library Access and Community for Everyone) programs for adults with developmental disabilities and created Library Lifelines for seniors and disabled adults. She also facilitated the monthly Memory Cafe and coordinated the library’s Adaptive Arcade and all adaptive gaming programming, as well as coordinated all outreach services for local nonprofits serving the disability community.

Vicki holds a master’s degree in social work. She has presented on adaptive gaming, livestreaming, and services for patrons with disabilities for the American Library Association, the Public Library Association, the Illinois Library Association and Reaching Forward North. Her Deerfield programs were featured in Library Programming for Adults with Developmental Disabilities (ALA Editions, 2021).

Steve has spent two decades pushing the game industry to make room for disabled players, from studio conversations to the GDC stage. Along the way he helped raise more than $5 million for charity. Where you may know us from

Why we work
as a pair

We live accessibility every day, at home and out in the world. So we notice what most people walk right past.

Between us, we also bring 15 years of running library programs and two decades of advocacy in the game industry. You get the honest view from the other side of the barrier, plus a practical plan to remove it.

You work directly with both of us. Whether it is a review, a talk, a guided remote build, or a full on-site project, we start with your people.

BEYOND THE WORK / INTERDISABLED IN LOVE

Life is for
living.

On our YouTube channel, Interdisabled In Love, we share the real stuff: moving in together, finding a little privacy when nurses are part of daily life, and judging what other people call fun. Come hang out with us.

A little more life. A little more joy.
