WEBSITE ACCESSIBILITY
A website you
can use
We want this website to be welcoming and usable for people with different access needs.
How we approach the site
We aim to provide clear language, readable contrast, visible keyboard focus, labeled forms, and layouts that work across screen sizes. We use restrained motion and respect reduced-motion preferences.
Videos and media
Our video previews have labeled play controls and text descriptions. Players load when you choose to play. Direct YouTube links provide an alternative way to watch and use available caption controls. The award speeches include a short written summary so the central subject is available without playing the video.
Tell us about a barrier
If something on this website makes it difficult to find information or contact us, please email steve@svaccessibility.com or vicki@svaccessibility.com. If you can, include the page and what you were trying to do. Sharing your browser or assistive technology is optional.
An alternative way to connect
You can email either founder directly instead of using the inquiry form. Let us know the communication format that works for you, and we will discuss how to accommodate it.
We work toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. We use automated checks alongside keyboard, contrast, and responsive-layout reviews. We continue to evaluate the experience with assistive technology.
Motion and film controls
Our home page includes a Pause motion control. We respect your device’s reduced-motion preference. Films open only when you choose one, with a close button and a direct YouTube alternative. Escape closes a film and returns you to the control that opened it.
Third-party films may offer different accessibility features. If a film or another part of this site creates a barrier, contact us for help accessing the information.
